| Comments : | I have been preparing for the office of Mayor for years. Now is the time for me to lead Panama City. My balanced approach to growth and preservation of our quality of life is reasonable and right for our future.
Serving as a City Commissioner for 20 years and Mayor Pro-tempore for 14 years, I bring a wealth of experience to the residents of Panama City. In 2006, I humbly accepted “North Florida Municipal Officer of the Year” from the Northwest Florida League of Cities.
I have had the privilege to serve on many local and regional civic posts during my 54 years in Panama City. I have led numerous local delegations to Tallahassee to address our community's needs. My service as a special aide to state senators Pat Thomas and Dempsey Barron provided me unique experience on local and regional issues that is unparalleled among other candidates for Mayor of Panama City.
I serve as a professional court appointed Receiver/Trustee for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit.
Pat, my wife of 48 years, and I raised three daughters here. Beverly Ann Mendoza and husband Michael, Cynthia Marie Barfield, and Marsha Lyn Karas and husband Roman have blessed us with three beautiful grandchildren. We attend Forest Park United Methodist Church.
