I'd first like to thank each of you for the opportunity to have served as your County Commissioner since 2002. Bay County has certainly seen a tremendous amount of growth in that time and as you already know, the work is just beginning. We continue to grow rapidly as a county and there are very important decisions to make on the near horizon that will greatly affect each of our lives. With your votes in this coming election, I'd like to continue to do everything in my power to help take Bay County into the future.
As your County Commissioner, I was elected at-large to represent the citizens of Bay County and am responsible for ensuring the future of Bay County. As part of a five-member Board of County Commissioners, we work to establish policies and appoint a County Manager to implement those policies and manage the operations of the county. We also annually adopt the millage rate and approve the budget for the county, which determines the revenue and expenditures that are necessary to operate all of the county departments. The duties of the county commission are established by Florida Statutes, Chapter 125.
With your support, I would be honored to continue to serve as your Bay County Commissioner. I hope I get the opportunity to meet and talk with you during the campaign. If you would like to talk or have a question, please get in touch with me.
