Comments :

Most of my working life has been a life of service.
•As a tutor and aide at Gulf Coast Community College,

•A Firefighter here in Panama City Beach,

•An Educator and Coach with Bay District Schools,(the last 15 years)

•A Volunteer, teacher and mentor through my church, First United Methodist of Panama City.

I understand the issues and the challenges that face our district.
If elected I will use my experience to deal with the difficult issues honestly and with integrity.
I will work to build a shared vision for the future and work to create an environment that puts the interests and welfare of our children first.

They deserve the very best we can give them.

I am a Parent like many of you.

We want are children to be successful and to learn the things they need to. But, most of all, we want them Safe!
I want our children to be safe, and have the opportunity for the best educational experience possible.

We want to equip our students with the values and character to make good choices, now and in the future.

Our children need to know that they are important and to experience the potential they possess; we must do a better job to encourage and empower...To prepare all of them for that next step…

Yes, we need to make improvements in student behaviors and in the learning environments of our schools.

Yes, we need to increase the level of parental involvement, community, and business input.

Yes, we need to insure that all our students have access to the same quality of educational experience.

Yes, we need to recruit good teachers and keep the good ones we have now.

Yes, Yes, Yes, we need accountability, fiscal responsibility, and equitable access.

All of these are needs within our school district that deserve to be addressed.
For anything to be accomplished there has to be teamwork and collaboration.

There has to be a commitment to a common goal!
Teamwork has to be a cornerstone in the process.

What is in the best interests of our children will be the standard that I will measure all my decisions by.
I will talk about the issues openly and honestly.
Listen to input from all involved and ultimately make a decision based on what I see as in the best interests of our children.

I believe this is the Right course for our children and
I am the right person for the job.

I'm Bob Commins and I'd appreciate your vote. Thank you….
