Comments :

As an elected Bay County Commissioner,
I will work full time for you.
I will listen to your concerns working with you for resolution.
I will seek practical approaches to county issues.
I will pursue fiscal responsbility in the use of your tax dollars seeking to keep the millage rate low.
I support increased community involvement in the County's planning process.
I support prudent conservation of our natural resources.
I support the maintenance, improvement, and development of Bay County's infrastructure.

Together, you and I, can move Bay County in a community friendly, positive growth direction.

I believe the citizens of Bay County deserve leaders with a broad knowledge and wealth of experience, and I believe I am that kind of a leader.

My relevant experience inclues serving three years on the Bay County Planning Commission (12/04-10/07) and attending all the County Commission public meetings since December 2004. I have a diversified work background which includes being a residential construction project manager, a construction contact and closing administrator, a bank commercial credit administrator, a legal secretary, a licensed real estate broker and a licensed interior designer.

I attended Waubonsee and Elgin Community Colleges majoring in Business and also earned a Specialist Certificate in Real Estate. My studies include Economics, Accounting, Principles of Management, Personnel Management, Behavior in Organizations, Real Estate I and II, Business and Real estate law, Real estate appraisal, Sales and Marketing. Graduate of Elburn High School.

My community involvement memberships in the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, the Woman's Club of Panama City, The Federated Republican Women of Panama City Beach, the Bay County Republican Executive Committee, the Bay County Republican Roundtable, associate member of the Panama City Amateur Radio Club, the Panhandle Federated Republican Women (President 2006-2007), and Holiday Decorating Sponsor for Habitat for Humanity.

As a Planning Commissioner, I worked hard and facilitated significant changes to the Land Development Rules to enhance the compatibility of commercial and multi-family development with the addition of lower height classifications.

Two issues close to my heart, are providing for the protection of the entire Deer Point Drainage Basin from landfills, and preventing our beautiful bays from being surrounded by condo canyons.

I have been married to my husband, Chuck for 31 years, and have four children and three stepchildren, all adults.

Motto: Plan your work and work your plan.

If you wish to contribute or volunteer, help would be greatly appreciate.
