Comments :

Hello Bay County,

My name is William E. Fisher, Jr. I would like to tell you a little bit about my Political Platform and myself for this Commission Race. I am currently a Candidate for the Bay County Commission District One, the seat currently held by incumbent Mike Nelson. It’s going to be a countywide election so if you would like to vote for Bill Fisher everyone in Districts one through five can support my campaign with their votes of support.

Honorably discharged from the United States Army due to a knee injury I have built everything from interstate highways to homes, and schools. Currently I am working as an Environmental Trainer and Small Business owner in Panama City. I helped build Middle Beach Road as a heavy equipment operator and my family has lived here in the Florida Panhandle for over six generations.

I was called on to assist in developing clean-up protocols and to provide training for first responder disaster teams into New Orleans La two weeks after Hurricane Katrina. Hospitals, Homes, Universities, and Commercial Building were decontaminated and cleaned using my Training Methods and Safety Protocols.

In 2002 I received a National Leadership Award from” The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). In 2003 NRCC awarded me Businessman of the Year and later that year I received another leadership award and was made Honorary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council. The NRCC promotes a pro-business agenda including tax reform & fiscal responsibility.

Sept 11 2007 I received a letter of Commendation from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for Mold Remediation Projects on State Buildings and Consulting Services to the State of Florida on Indoor Air Quality.

As your Elected Public Spokesperson I would like to see if we can shift our county vehicles and buildings to alternative fuels that we can make right here in Bay County creating jobs, and in the long run, helping our environment and reducing our dependence on fuels disrupted by storms or an unpredictable Arab world. Our current county commission is spending money like there’s no tomorrow! We need to be better managers of your tax dollars.

I am a life long Conservative Republican who has changed over to no party affiliation for this campaign. I don’t always vote straight down the party line. I vote for the person and their ability to get the job done. A lot of people forget that we are all Americans first! Republicans, Democrats, and Independents equate to We the People! It takes all of us working together as a team to get it right the first time. As your County Commissioner I will be on your team. Supporting your Majority Votes.
Thank you and God bless you.

As stated in section 106.011(14), F.S. the candidates running for State, Multicounty, District or Judical office must file with the Department of State Division of Elections, click here for a link to the Division of Elections.
