| Comments : | Citizens of Springfield, I have been a resident of Springfield all my life and am not a stranger to the community. I have served the city of Springfield for three terms and it has been my pleasure to do so. I have worked with city officials and citizens and have seen the city progress in many ways during the past six years.
I have also had the privilege of supporting the police department in its efforts in reducing crime and drugs in our community. The advancements made by our police department are commendable. With your support, my goal is to continue to work with the police department in continued growth and improvement of service. I also applaud our excellent fire department for its unmatched emergency services.
As your City Commissioner I will continue to serve and help improve our city in such areas completion of the Veteran’s Nursing Home on Tram Road, improvement of our environment, city beautification, and development of business and job opportunities.
By no means is the city failing. It is obvious that the city has made great improvements and, with the help of our citizens in the community, it will continue to improve. I am proud of our city and feel that we all can look forward to a positive future. Please, remember to re-elect me, Commissioner John Gipson, in the Springfield City Elections on April 22, 2003.
John Gipson- “The Best Voice For Your Choice”
