| Comments : | I am so glad that you are taking the time to become informed about the local races, especially the one for Bay County School Board, District 4. I am truly a local product having be born at Lisenby Hospital, the only child of Grady and Thelma Register. I attended Oakland Terrace Elementary School, Jinks Junior High School, and Bay High School (Class of 1965). MY post secondary education began at Gulf Coast Junior College and continued on at the University of West Florida, and the University of Southern Mississippi. I've been married to my wife, Faye Moseley Register, for 38 years. We have two son. Our oldest son, Grant and his wife, Roxanne Morton Register, live in Greenhead. Grant works with me in the family painting business and Roxane teaches first grade at Waller Elementary School. Our other son, Mark lives in Georgia and has been with International Paper since 2000. I retired from Bay County School System after 30 years in 1999. I taught 16 years and was in administration for 14 years. My wife sayes that I did not retire, but changed jobs. Therefore I not only have the school experience, but also have successfully run my own business. This varied background proves me well qualified as a school boarad member. Education has been a very important part of my life and I want to continue to serve the citizens of Bay County.
